2013 Scholarship & Bursary Awards Call for Nominations!

It's that time of the year again! Olive Tree Foundation, in partnership with CAM-D, MIST Toronto and the Ontario Association of Islamic Schools, is accepting Call for Nominations for our annual scholarship and bursary awards to students entering full-time programs of study at a college or university in the upcoming academic year is here.The recipients of the Mohamed and Opheera Nasir Leadership Scholarship for $1000 will be chosen on the basis of exceptional leadership qualities and social conscience, as well as, academic achievement.5 bursary awards of $500 each will also be awarded.The Academic Excellence bursary will be awarded to a high school graduate who has excelled in academic studies.The Women Educational bursary will be awarded to a graduating female student who excelled in school despite the exceptional challenges and barriers she faced as a Muslim woman.The Youth Action bursary will be awarded to a student who has taken consistent action to make a positive impact on the larger community.The Abdullah Ibn Umm Makhtum Honorary bursary will be awarded to a high school student with disability who excelled despite the exceptional challenges and barriers she or he has faced.
