Zahida and Yasin Ali Family Fund
The Zahida & Yasin Ali Family Fund was established as a sadaqa jariyah (ongoing charity) to honor the legacy of Zahida Ali and Yasin Ali. This family endowment reflects their deep commitment to charity, faith, and community service, ensuring that their contributions continue to benefit generations to come.
Sister Zahida Ali, who passed away peacefully at home in New Jersey on Thursday, January 16, 2025, was a devoted supporter of the Olive Tree Foundation. She and her husband, Yasin Ali, believed in the transformative power of charity and established this fund to uphold their values of generosity and care for others.
As the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Charity given to the poor is charity, and that given to a relative is two things: charity and upholding the ties of kinship.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)
Zahida Ali was the beloved wife of Yasin Ali, and a devoted mother to Dr. Sabia Ali and the late Faisal Ali. She was a cherished grandmother to Yusuf, Maryem, and Aadam, and a loving mother-in-law to Imran Haque. She was the daughter of Mohamed Nasir and Opheera Nasir, and sister to Khalida Juman-Yassin, Shakira Haniff, and Muneeb Nasir. She will always be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews: Khalid, Arif, Saud, Fuad, Sarah, Saeed, Saleem, Safiyya, Nabeel, Muaz, and Umar.
The Zahida & Yasin Ali Family Fund stands as a testament to their lifelong dedication to charity, kinship, and service to the community. Through this endowment, their values and generosity will continue to make a difference, supporting initiatives that benefit those in need.
May Allah forgive Zahida Ali, accept her good deeds, and grant her Jannat al-Firdaws. May this fund serve as a means of ongoing reward and mercy for both Zahida and Yasin Ali.
We invite you to support the Zahida & Yasin Ali Family Fund, ensuring that their legacy of kindness and charity continues for future generations.
